c, the real deal.
CTGIANG: Motivation and inspiration to make a difference, hello 2012.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
Mom: You shouldn't have told him you loved him.
Me: But, I did love him...
Mom: Yeah, but you loved him too much. You never let a guy know you love him more than anything. Because then they won't care if they hurt you, because they know you love him. They know you're not gonna do anything about it. Once they know they have control over you, they start using it against you and take you for granted. He won't care what he does to you, because he knows you care enough to stay with him no matter what he puts you through.
Me: But, what if you love someone enough that you WOULD do anything for him?
Mom: You need to stop that. I taught you to be stronger than this. You don't NEED any guy. Where's your independence? You let people take advantage of you so much, what's wrong with you? You need to be bigger than that. The next guy, don't let him hurt you. If he pushes you over, you push him out on the street. My daughter doesn't deserve that.
There are a lot of things that I hate to admit to you and myself because of my pride and you. There are things that I do not share with you knowing that you will bug me for it for good laughs. I have times with you where I put all aside and I swallow my pride and build up the guts to admit certain things to you because it is worth saying and you are worth it. Some people deserve to hear our words; sometimes those words spoken can make a difference. Things like how I love seeing and spending time with you is a start. We have been friends for several years now and that helps make things easier to say sometimes since there is a foundation to stand on. Thank you for watching me grow up over the years. I want to especially thank you for taking care of me these last two and a half years with such pretentious care and support. I’m very thankful for great people like yourself.
Darota: Somebody here to apologize
Blair: I can't say I want to hear it right now, but tell Louis I'll see him upstairs.
Darota: Not Louis
Blair: What are you doing here? I don't have the energy to rehash tonight's hysterics. I think you should leave.
Chuck: I'm not here to apologize about what happened tonight.
Blair: Then what are you here to apologize for?
Chuck: Everything else. I'm sorry for losing my temper the night you told me Louis proposed to you. I'm sorry for not waiting longer at the Empire State Building. I'm sorry for treating you like property. I'm sorry I didn't tell you I loved you when I knew I did. Most of all I'm sorry I gave up on us when you never did.
Blair: Thank you. I hope never giving up on people isn't going to be my downfall.
Chuck: That's why you're going to be an amazing mother. You're always there for the people you love, even when they don't deserve it.
Blair: You know that's never going to change.
Chuck: It's okay if it has to. Starting tonight I'm going to take care of myself.
soul-amaazing:
and your happiness comes before mine, always. I may not make the right decisions but my intentions are good. I would rather hurt by myself than keep you from the happiness that you truly deserve.
My happiness is up to me, but it also lies within having you in my life and being with you in some manner.
