It’s never enough.
When we find the girl that we wanna pursue. It’s all about impressing and being the man. We do everything for them, whether its paying for dinner, to opening a car door like a gentlemen. From little gifts, to diamond necklace… but why do we forget? we become so comfortable in the relationship, we forget. We stop going out, we stop trying. Really, we lose attention. Then we wonder why our girl got up and leaves. It’s not that she finds a better man, or that she needs time alone. It’s that we stop giving her the attention she needs and deserve. We take it for granted. So simple, but yet we forget. Turn off the TV, put away the video games, put on a clean shirt, and take your damn girl out. Wine and Dine, before some other guy does.

Orange Corner $ (Dessert)
Great place to hit up for crepes! You can never go wrong with strawberry and Nutella crepes with ice cream and whip cream, which is my personal favourite. Their bubble tea isn’t bad either. The service is a bit slow and the servers don’t really tend to check up on you after they take your order and deliver your dish.
Society Dining Lounge $$ (International)
Great place for dinner and drinks considering the comfortable yet fancier atmosphere! The servers are nice and to one’s surprise they don’t tend to over check up on you when they’re not busy, which can be a pro or a con depending on each person. The shepherds pie is some sort of amazing!
Go out there and feast!
Memphis Blues $$ (Ribs)
A small restaurant on the drive known for its popular and delicious ribs, especially on Mondays when it’s all you an eat ribs and fries. You definitely get your money’s worth with each ribs order since it comes with cornbread, coleslaw salad, gravy, a barbeque pit beans, and your choice of fries or potato salad. The service is fast and although its not exactly your sit down gourmet kind of restaurant, the food is a gourmet kind of amazing as you dig in and get a little messy. Another neat thing about it is that all the drinks aside from beer on tap are served in glass bottles versus aluminum cans or plastic bottles.
Green Leaf Natural Food $ (Bubble tea)
The bubble tea shop well known for its daily $2 deals on their delicious 16 oz. bubble teas. There’s usually 2-3 flavours to choose from for their $2 deals, which provides a variety with their deal. Their strawberry cheesecake ice cream bubble tea was the one I tried my most recent visit there and it’s delicious! The place itself looks old and dirty, the chairs are quite worn down but the drinks itself are great and prepared with sanitation. It’d be a lot more welcoming if they refurnished the place, which would probably mean a lot more people would sit down and enjoy their drinks instead of taking it to go. The place is never empty, especially in the summer!
DOT Desserts $ (Dessert)
A small and cleanly little shop with great parfaits. The mango parfait is definitely a good choice! Bubble tea, tea, slush beverages, crepes and Japanese subs are also served.
Joe Fortes $$$ (Seafood)
Very different restaurant design with several seafood dishes that are just above the average. You can probably find yourself paying the same amount or less at many other restaurants for the same dishes, perhaps in bigger portions too. It’s just a fancy restaurant for food glammed up. Great crème brulée though! At least they have coat check and valet service. Worth a try!
The Mill Marine Bistro $$ (International)
Service is slow even when the restaurant isn’t busy. Unusual seating on stools, which isn’t great because you can’t lean back or put your coat or bag on it. The mussels and chowder is amazing! The Mediterranean linguine is decent but could use a little more flavour. The cedar plank salmon is well prepared and tastes wonderful, and pizzas they serve are amazing! Definitely a decent restaurant for a reasonable price. The shooters are good too for those of you looking to have a few shots, but the good mixed drinks are always the ones that leave you drunk!
Estea $ (Asian Cafe/Bubble Tea)
Slow and lack of service but the place is clean and looks really nice. Food’s just average but their bubble tea isn’t too bad.
Gloucester Cafe $$ (Asian Cafe)
Good place to go for lunch considering their combo deals. Their Hong Kong styled Western dishes are one of the better ones in the city. Their dishes with seafood are always a good choice! They also have a great dessert menu with all sorts of crepes, gelatos, cakes and such!
$: 15 or less
$$: 15-30
$$$: 30-45
$$$$: 45+
Anton’s $$ (Pasta)
Dark, warm ambience pasta restaurant with the biggest portions in town for a very reasonable price! If you can finish their pasta in your one sitting, you’ll get a congratulatory pen! The staff is really nice and usually don’t leave you unattended for too long. Just make sure you get there early to avoid long waits, there’s almost always a wait to get into the restaurant. Always a good sign that the food’s good though!
Capstones $$ (Dessert)
Clean little fondue and tea shop. The all you can eat chocoate fondue is always a good choice. Bubble tea is pretty average but definitely a good complement with the fondue. They also serve cheese fondue, but it’s not all you can eat. Fondues come with assorted snacks and fresh fruits. You can add sprinkles, coconut flakes, peanuts, almonds or walnuts as toppings for your fondue. All in all, decent service and fondue.
