As everyone grows up, they begin to learn that not everything is rainbows, unicorns and happy-go-lucky. We start to see things that we never used to see when we were younger, less experienced with life itself and less open to interpretation of things in a perspective other than our own. Learning that people will deceive and disappoint us will only help us in the future to access the people we let into our lives. Once we’re deceived and learn that it’s not something we’d want or like, we become more readily alert when we’re faced to trust, believe, have hope or faith in someone and we’ll think twice before we do so.
