I fear losing the title of being your angel. I fear losing someone that gives me the world. Above and beyond all that, I fear losing you and your friendship more than anything.
I choose you. I missed your company this evening, but it allowed me to relax and think to myself about whatever my mind came across. I know a lot of people and in my interactions and encounters with them, those relations with most of them seem merely memorable or to be time well spent. I have my collection of people in my life that I am thankful everyday and ones that get me through each day to be thankful. There isn’t a scoreboard keeping score of what we do for each other, I’m not keeping count and nor is it needed or necessary for either of us to do so. The concept of fairness is important but sometimes fair doesn’t mean everything.
You’re afraid, more afraid than ever. Some time ago you told me you had your fears when you first met me and over time, you overcame those fears by just being with me, by just being you. I’ve grown to admire, care, cherish, acknowledge, thank, accept, and love you for who you are, what you do, and all the in between. You are not perfect, and in your own eyes, you’re far from it; but, my eyes, mind, and heart has seen and is seeing parts of you that make me see you as my own idea of perfect.
You don’t believe in much and when you do, it is a significant matter, and I’m grateful that you believe in me. I’m still lost over your words in regards to how you believe in an us in the future that you want and intend to pursue. I have yet to experience this life ahead of us with you. I’m lucky to have someone that sends a smile and happiness through me when I’m at the peak of my pursuit of happiness and when I’m rock bottom in my emotions and with my life. I choose you to be the one I give my time and days to now and for our days to come. I look to you for answers, wisdom, experiences, stories, comfort, happiness, and many things, but I look to you most for the unwavering care, support, and friendship that has not yet failed me.
